We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Shyam Nagarajan as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Hedera. With over 20 years of leadership experience in AI, blockchain, and digital transformation, Shyam has a proven track record of driving business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation on a global scale.<\/p>\n

Shyam is already deeply familiar with Hedera and the ecosystem, having previously served as a member of Hedera\u2019s Board of Directors. He currently chairs Hedera\u2019s Technology Committee, where his insights and leadership have helped shape the strategic direction of the network.<\/p>\n

A Proven Leader in Emerging Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shyam\u2019s career includes key leadership roles at IBM, where he led responsible AI and blockchain initiatives, driving triple-digit growth and helping position IBM as a leader in enterprise blockchain services. His ability to scale complex technologies and deliver results for Fortune 500 companies speaks to his deep expertise in both business and technology strategy.<\/p>\n

Notably, Shyam played a pivotal role in developing IBM’s COVID pass solutions, which was adopted by NYC and reached over 12 million users, and led the growth of IBM\u2019s Blockchain and Digital Assets business, generating significant revenue. His ability to bridge technology with business outcomes has made him a sought-after leader in the fields of AI, blockchain, and data-driven transformation.<\/p>\n

As Hedera\u2019s new COO, Shyam will oversee Hedera\u2019s operational strategy and execution. Specifically, he will focus on Hedera\u2019s operational resilience, driving innovation through its open source community, and supporting enterprise use of the Hedera network.
