Builders got tools that cut most of the friction out of going live.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2025 was the moment the training wheels started to come off.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Hedera steps onto the main stages of policy, digital finance, and AI<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The year opened on the global stage at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/blog\/davos-2025-a-watershed-moment-for-hedera-and-the-future-of-tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">World Economic Forum in Davos<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, where Hedera leaders joined discussions on AI, tokenization, financial inclusion, and regulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through sessions like<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cBuilding Trust The Foundation for Responsible AI\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cReimagining Financial Markets with RWA Tokenization\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Hedera drove home a simple point: decentralized tech is no longer a side experiment. It is becoming part of the core stack for finance and AI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That theme continued through the year:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In June in Washington, D.C., Hedera leaders joined policymakers, the Atlantic Council, and others on Capitol Hill to discuss CBDCs, responsible AI, and blockchain use cases, capped by the \u201cSips and Standards\u201d reception at the Smithsonian, co-hosted with GBBC.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Paris Blockchain Week, leadership from Hedera Foundation and Hashgraph spoke on tokenization, MiCA, and the hybrid future of enterprise blockchain.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At events such as Sibos, TOKEN2049, MERGE, andDigital Asset Summit, Hedera shared the stage with central banks, global custodians, and major payment providers.<br \/><br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And these were only a few of many highlights 2025 was not about asking how to get into the room. It was about how to set the agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Tokenization stopped being a pitch<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tokenization is easy to talk about, but delivering it inside institutions is what matters most. This year, Hedera showed what it looks like when the theory actually hits regulated markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Across the Hedera ecosystem, there were many highlights that show this shift from theory to practice:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a \u2018<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lloydsbankinggroup.com\/media\/press-releases\/2025\/lloyds-banking-group-2025\/digital-assets-breakthrough.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UK first<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019, tokenized units of a money market fund and UK gilts, issued on Hedera via Archax, were used as collateral in FX trades between Lloyds Banking Group and Aberdeen. Same regulations, same institutions, new rails.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/press-release\/canary-capital-launches-spot-hbar-etf-opening-access-next-generation-digital-assets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canary HBAR ETF (HBR) began trading<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the Nasdaq stock exchange on October 28, 2025. Then, on Thanksgiving, while traditional U.S. markets were closed, Archax facilitated a live, out-of-hours transaction of the tokenized Canary HBR ETF.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/users\/audd\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Australian Digital Dollar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> launched on Hedera using Stablecoin Studio.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.foundation\/blog\/kaio-brings-institutional-funds-onchain-via-hedera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KAIO expanded onchain access<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to alternative funds.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.foundation\/blog\/swarm-enables-compliant-stocks-on-hedera\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swarm brought compliant tokenized stocks<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> like AAPL and TSLA, as well as tokenized gold, to Hedera.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/asset-tokenization-studio\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hedera\u2019s Asset Tokenization Studio<\/span><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/blog\/hedera-integrates-erc-3643-token-standard-into-asset-tokenization-studio\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">added ERC-3643<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Tokeny\u2019s T-REX) support alongside ERC-1400, strengthening its role as an end-to-end platform for regulated digital assets, and was named one of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gfmag.com\/award\/award-winners\/the-innovators-2025-north-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Global Finance Magazine\u2019s Top Financial Innovations <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in North America for 2025.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.foundation\/blog\/zoniqx_stegx_100m_tokenized_real_estate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">StegX began tokenizing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> over $100 million in institutional real estate on Hedera using Zoniqx\u2019s jurisdiction-aware DyCIST (ERC-7518) standard, embedding KYC, AML, and lifecycle logic directly into the tokens.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.foundation\/blog\/hbar-foundation-invests-in-fidelity-international-s-usd-money-market-fund-tokenized-by-archax\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hedera Foundation invested<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Archax\u2019s tokenized representation of Fidelity International\u2019s USD MMF on Hedera.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The pattern is clear. This is no longer \u201ccan we put this onchain\u201d experimentation. It is \u201ccan this plug into our legal, risk, and reporting stack?\u201d execution.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Hybrid networks and HashSphere: The future is not public or private, it is both<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enterprises want the transparency and finality of a public network, but regulators and risk teams still require transaction privacy and jurisdictional control, so HashSphere bridges the gap. The future isn\u2019t public vs. private; it\u2019s hybrid, with Hedera and HashSphere as the connective tissue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hashgraph.com\/introducing-hashsphere-a-private-permissioned-network-powered-by-hedera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Launched<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in March, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hashgraph.com\/hashsphere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HashSphere<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lets organizations deploy private, permissioned networks that connect seamlessly to Hedera and other EVM ecosystems. With auditable logs and clear standards, it becomes infrastructure. Hedera Consensus Service anchors an immutable audit log of AI computations, bringing together hardware-based trust with on-chain transparency.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.foundation\/blog\/victorai-hedera-polymarket-telegram-prediction-markets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first AI-powered Polymarket Telegram<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> bot built natively for the Hedera ecosystem, VictorAI, launched making prediction markets feel as effortless as sending a message.<br \/><br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Governance, structure, and ecosystem evolution<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2025 was also the year Hedera did some important internal work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The HBAR Foundation <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hedera.com\/blog\/a-new-era-for-hedera\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">transitioned<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to Hedera Foundation with a sharpened focus on tokenization, DeFi, AI, and community innovation. The Hedera Governing Council became simply <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/hederacouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hedera Council<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with Tom Sylvester stepping in as President and Mance Harmon serving as Chair.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The two remain independent, but now operate with a tighter, more consistent brand system. Hedera Foundation drives ecosystem growth and use case adoption.
